Growing-and-Giving Mindset Intervention in Early Childhood Education: A Collaborative Action Research

In childhood education, a behaviorist approach (a mixture of praise and punishment) has been used for student target behaviors; however, the results have not consistent. This study investigated how constructivist would work in same setting. The participant was four-year-old who showed behaviors with negative attention-seeking avoidance self-regulation; three teachers author worked him on collaborative action research. We treated using first cycle intervention. It seemed to surface but helping become autonomously self-regulated; his surroundings learned remove antecedents. took second intervention, wherein provided opportunities build puzzle pictures give them or friends. teacher’s scaffolding helped complete task, perceive competence, aim even bigger challenges. Through efforts, he experienced making others happy, as growing-giving mindset fostered, were decreased.
